About Tradewinds

Dan Frederick, founder of Tradewinds Tech Solutions

I'm Dan Frederick — Army officer, then fifteen years supporting PACOM operations, where systems either work under real-world constraints or they don't count. I founded Tradewinds Tech Solutions in 2022 and went full-time in July 2026 with a single focus: secure AI infrastructure.

Tradewinds does two things. For defense contractors, it deploys AI inside the CMMC boundary — GCC-High Copilot enablement, private AI clusters with zero cloud egress, and the compliance documentation to back both. For Hawaii startups, it provides the AI engineering that turns demos into products: agentic systems, self-hosted inference, and evaluation harnesses.

Tradewinds is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, based in Kāneʻohe on the windward side of Oʻahu. I lead every engagement, and when a job needs more hands, Tradewinds scales with a team of cleared personnel from the defense community. The architecture we recommend to clients runs in our own lab first — we don't sell patterns we haven't operated.
